Ethics
  • You, as an IS professional, are making decisions
    that affect people.
  • some are based on your belief/value systems.

    based on your view of the world).

    right.
  • Utilitarianism --- The actions that are right are
    those that benefit the most people (or produce
    the greatest good for the most people).
  • Respect for persons --- Actions are right if
    everyone adopts the moral rule presupposed by the
    action. In other words there are some things that
    are right or wrong and can be judged as before
    the consequences of the actions are studied.
