AMWTPs Mission Status
  • The U.S. Department of Energys Advanced Mixed
    Waste Treatment Project is committed to safely,
    compliantly and efficiently ship 65,000 cubic
    meters of stored transuranic waste out of Idaho
    to the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant in New Mexico.
  • Status through Sept. 1, 2006
  • More than 12,000 cubic meters shipped since 2002
  • 53,000 cubic meters to go
  • All stored transuranic waste out of Idaho by
    2012,
