Characteristics

• All triangles have three sides
• All triangles have three angles that add up to
  180 degrees
• The side across from the right angle is called
  the hypotenuse

Types of Triangles by angles

• There are three types of triangles
• Obtuse triangles- Has one angle over 90 degrees
• Acute triangles- All angles are under 90 degrees
• Right triangles- One angle is equal to 90 degrees
  and the other two are under 90 degrees

Formulas

• To find the area of a triangle you use the
  formula
• Area ½(Base)(Height)
• If given two sides and asked to find the third
  use the formula
• Pythagorean Theorem
