  • Workers Compensation Insurance You are covered
    for injuries arising out of the course of your
    volunteer employment according to the Iowa
    Workers Compensation statues.
  • Motor Vehicle Insurance When you are driving a
    school-owned vehicle, you are covered by the
    District Motor Vehicle insurance and the Excess
    Umbrella Liability insurance policy.

Insurance Coverage
  • When you are driving your own or a family- owned
    vehicle for the purpose of a field trip, you are
    provided primary liability coverage under the
    Districts auto liability insurance, provided you
    are acting within the scope of your delegated
    duties and authorities.

Logging Your Volunteer Hours
  • Tracking volunteer hours helps the District
    document external community involvement.
  • The number of volunteer hours contributed at our
    school is a factor in determining Workers
    Compensation Insurance rates for the District.
  • You deserve credit for the time you donate.
