• Became indipendent from Russia in 1991
• Wants to become a member of the EU
• One of most important Europes pipelines goes
  through Georgia

Georgia conflict

• Abkhazia and South Ossetia achieved the
  independance from Georgia with Russias help in
  1995
• In 2008 Georgia sent its army to Ossetia, which
  led to the serious conflict between Russia and
  Georgia
• A few days later Russias army with tanks came to
  Georgia and even reached Tbilisi
• Another point
• Europe should be interested to solve this
  conflict because of one of the most important
  pipelines which goes through Georgia
