Funding Supplier Program
  • Reduce the number and redundancy of audits
  • Reduce audit costs
  • Use one consistent protocol
  • Credible and comprehensive
  • Developed by distributors and suppliers

3
About RDP Verification (RDPV)
  • RDPV is an on-site visit by a third-party
    verifier(s) to a members site.
  • Each member is required to successfully complete
    one RDPV in the cycle.
  • Supplier-nominated sites (Supplier-RDPV) and
extra sites are funded by a core of funding
    suppliers.

4
About RDP Verification (RDPV)
  • For Mandatory Single NACD Required RDPV
  • The independent RDPV Administrator will select a
site based on a company profile questionnaire.
  • For Supplier-Funded Sites
  • Funders can submit additional self-nominated
    sites based on funding level.

5
Funding Supplier-Nominated RDPVs
  • Nominated site must be of a distributor
    representing the Funding Supplier.
  • Funding Suppliers will nominate sites (number is
based on funding level) via the data provided to
the RDPV Administrator from the distributor. Some
suppliers will already know which sites they want
to have verified without the data.
  • A Funding Supplier can nominate up to 10 member
sites, which is based on the total number of
sites a distributor company owns, operates, or
    stores products.

6
Funding Supplier-Nominated RDPVs
  • The verifier(s) will confirm that each member is
implementing its policies and procedures under
    RDPs Code of Management Practice.
  • It is not a strict regulatory compliance audit
there is allowance for interpretation based on
    the particular site.
  • Verifiers may use their knowledge of regulations
as performance benchmarks, but no member will
fail because it was not in compliance with a
    government regulation.

Potential RDPV Verifications (current 2007-2009
cycle)

Why Do Suppliers Need These Audits?
  • Industry requirements (such as Responsible Care
    and/or other internal or company-wide
requirements) may dictate the need to audit
distributors with whom they do business to assess
    the distributors risk management capabilities.
  • Suppliers use the RDP Verification process as a
credible and cost-efficient means of achieving
    their company requirements.

9
Why Do Suppliers Need These Audits? (continued)
  • Participation gives access to site profiles and
    third-party EHSS reports of distributors.
  • Provides suppliers with an independent
observation and unlimited access to distributors
    reports (upon their approval)
  • How distributor(s) are addressing EHSS issues
    important to suppliers, and
  • How distributor(s) are adhering to NACDs
    Responsible Distribution ProcessSM.
