CROSSING THE LINE
The line is an invisible line between usually
two characters in a scene. Once a screen
placement (or direction) has been established for
each, all shots of one or both MUST be from that
same side of the line or a loss in continuity
will occur, thus creating confusion in the
audience and breaking continuity.
