ResortInternets HSIS for your property?
  • Why should we install High Speed Internet Service
    (HSIS) at our property?
  • For the past several years the growth of HSIS and
WiFi has been dramatic. Already, more than 50 of
US households have HSIS and by the end of this
decade, it is estimated that 80 of all US
households will have a high speed connection to
the Internet. Homeowners want this amenity at
their 2nd homes. Studies show that when people
can stay in touch with their jobs and family,
they can get away more frequently and stay
longer. Rental guests now expect WiFi when they
are on vacation. Thats why Keystone property
Management has ResortInternets HSIS in almost
85 of all of their managed properties.

3
WiFi Advantages?
  • What are the advantages of WiFi (wireless) over a
    wired system?
  •  When ResortInternet was established, it only
installed wired HSIS, via the phone wiring or
television cable, because WiFi was neither
reliable nor provided enough security nor
privacy. Since the Company services and supports
what it sells and installs, it wanted to ensure
it installed reliable equipment! But in the next
following 5 years WiFi technology improved
dramatically, to where it is now a reliable and
secure technology. For the past 2 ½ years HOAs
have only requested WiFi for the greater
flexibility it offers users on where and how they
can use the WiFi. For example using WiFi,
multiple computers within 1 condo Unit can be
connected to the Internet at the same time. In
addition, you can access the WiFi from within
your Unit or if you like, from your patio or
porch or from your common areas such as hot tub
    or pool areas!

4
ResortInternets qualifications?
  • What are ResortInternets qualifications and why
    should we consider them?
  • ResortInternet was established in 2003, and is
now entering its 5th year of providing reliable
cost-effective HSIS to homeowners and guests in
    Colorados destination resorts. HOA condominium
properties are the Company only customers. Since
its 1st installed lodge at Keystone, the Company
proudly provides its HSIS to more than 5,400
condominiums units in 150 HOA resort properties
stretching from Winter Park to Aspen!

5
WiFi security?
  • Isnt WiFi (wireless) an insecure connection?
    Shouldnt we worry about that?
  • WiFi as ResortInternet installs it is very
secure. In fact, it is more secure than the
Internet is - in general! ResortInternet provides
3 levels of security. It sets an access pass-word
which must be entered by a user, in order to log
on to the Internet. That alone is very important,
as it will keep unauthorized users from using
your HOAs investment and bandwidth. Second, we
provide computer isolation, so that no one can
see any other computer on the WiFi network.
This prevents stolen computer files and ensures
the privacy of each users contents. Last, the
user must agree to the Terms and Conditions which
includes a liability release which protects the
homeowner, the HOA, the Property Manager, and of
    course ResortInternet.

6
Bandwidth speed?
  • What bandwidth speed can I expect?
  • ResortInternet provides continuous downstream
bandwidth speeds of up to 6Mbps with bursts up to
9 10Mbs and 1Mbps upstream. The majority of
Internet usage needs are for downloads, not
uploads. This bandwidth is shared among all
simultaneous users who are transmitting data at
the preciously same instant in time. Just because
a users computer is turned on, and they are on
the Internet does not mean they are using a
portion of the bandwidth! Users are only sharing
the bandwidth when they are downloading or
    uploading information (data). ResortInternet
provides HSIS to over 150 HOA properties and has
extensive knowledge and experience in bandwidth
usage. The bandwidth speed provided will please
98 of your homeowners and guests. The other 2
will never be satisfied with the speed.

7
Customer technical support?
  • What kind of support does ResortInternet provide?
  • ResortInternet provides exceptionally
responsivecustomer and technical support to its
users. Its Complete Customer Care Package
    includes the following components
  • An easy to follow User Guide w/stand is placed in
each condo Unit, with extras provided to Property
Management. The User Guide contains the access
password, directions on how to log-on and connect
to the Internet, and trouble-shooting tips.
  • Unlimited Customer and Technical support via its
toll-free support line, which is answered by
trained customer support techs in the United
States 24 hours per day. About 80 of all calls
to the 800 number are resolved by customer
    support.
  • Continuous electronic Monitoring and Remote
Management of the HSIS equipment installed on
your property to respond to equipment issues
before they even affect the users.
  • Locally based Field Techs in each of the
Companys service areas to perform any required
    on-site equipment repairs and preventive
maintenance. In Summit County alone, the Company
has 5 highly trained Field Techs to be dispatched
    quickly when needed.

8
What else do I need?
  • What do I need to do to get on the WiFi, and what
equipment do I need to buy for my condo?
  • The 1st time you attempt to log on from your
condo Unit, your computer will set up a WiFi
profile for you while you are at your condo. It
is a pretty simple task, and most travelers have
set up profiles from almost every location when
they try to use the internet. Once you have done
that, you will simply need to enter your access
password (which is on the User Guide in your
Unit, and you will automatically connect. If you
should have a problem, you simply call our
toll-free support number. Most computers now have
built-in WiFi capabilities. Almost all new
computers have that feature built in. if you are
using an older computer, you may need to buy a
WiFi adapter that plugs into your computer. There
are several types of adapters available and most
are available for a nominal cost. No other
equipment is required. No WiFi equipment is
    located within your condo Unit.

9
Signal availability?
  • Will the wireless signal be available all through
my condo Unit, or only in one specific room?
  • ResortInternet Technicians have conducted a
comprehensive site survey of your property which
included actual wireless signal testing from
several condo Units on your property. After the
WiFi installation is completed, the Companys
Tech will test the wireless signal strength from
every room in each condo Unit, and those signal
readings will be recorded and given to your
Property manager along with our Certificate of
Completion. Our thorough signal testing will
assure that there will be adequate wireless
signal in the great majority of each and every
    condo Unit.

10
Obsolescence?
  • When will the WiFi equipment you install become
obsolete and need to be replaced?
  • We install the newest commercially available WiFi
equipment which has been approved by the
Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers
(IEEE) that is available today. As we all
know, technology continues to improve. However,
all new versions of WiFi which have been
    introduced have been backward compatible
meaning they work with earlier versions of the
equipment. We expect that will continue, so there
will be no required change-out of equipment
because of technology. The useful life of
electronic equipment is normally between 5 and 10
    years.
