Clay Andrews, CEO
Hype Manufacturing Founder and CEO
Dr. Clayton Andrews graduated from Auburn
University with a degree in veterinary medicine.
After opening his own practice, his creative
energy drove him to expand his vision for the
future. In 1995, Clay looked to the internet and
found extraordinary success. With Clays
continued success from the internet, he was now
able to pursue additional challenges. In
2004, Clay formed Hype Manufacturing to develop
racing components. In late 2005, Clay opened Clay
Andrews Racing and formed a NASCAR Busch series
racing team. After only Seven Races in the 2006
racing season, his startup team rocked the NASCAR
world with a win at the Meijer 300 race in
Kentucky. What made this win historical was due
to the fact that he had a rookie driver, had no
Sponsor and most amazingly built its own engine.
USA today said it was arguably one of the biggest
wins in NASCAR history. Having accomplished the
goal of the team, Clay discontinued racing and
began to expand the manufacturing company he
founded in 2004. Investment in manufacturing
technology and his contagious attitude for
success allowed Clay to acquire the experienced
key people he needed to move forward into
precision markets. Hype continues to grow in
aerospace and other high precision markets today.
