ABOUT the AREA
  • Greenville is located on the southern tip of
    Maines Largest Lake, 40 miles long and 20 miles
    wide at its greatest width. It is the gateway to
    the Moosehead Lake Region. Greenville is a quaint
    town with many local and specialty retail shops,
    a hospital, a school, churches, marina, banks,
    post office, hardware store, many full service
    restaurants, gas stations, two grocery stores,
    two Laundromats and an indoor mall (Indian Hill).
    These places are only a few minutes away.
  • Wal-Mart and Dunkin Donuts are over an hours
    drive away in Newport, Me.
  • Located at the doorstep of Maines Great
    Northwoods, the Moosehead Lake Region is steeped
    in history.
  • Henry David Thoreau explored the region with
    Indian guides in the mid-1800s.

ACTIVITIES
  • If you can do it in the outdoors, you can do it
    in the Moosehead Lake Region. The many rivers,
    lakes, and streams afford a myriad of activities,
    including fishing, canoeing, kayaking and white
    water rafting. The mountains are always a hikers
    paradise and the winter trails are a haven for
    cross country skiers. Some go dog sledding,
    downhill skiing on Big Squaw Mountain while
    others on snowmobiles take to the Interstate
    Trail System (ITS) or race on the frozen lake.
  • True outdoor adventure awaits you in the
    Moosehead and Katahdin regions. Mountain
    climbing (we have 9 mountains) hiking, climbing,
    fly-fishing, recreational boating, ice fishing,
    hunting and camping.
  • Cruise on a historic steamship. Behold the wonder
    of it all from above on a seaplane. Enjoy
    watching the sun set over the seemingly endless
    horizon of water at one of several local first
    class restaurants.
  • Wildlife safari tours take you to see some of our
    local moose and eagles.

  • At the Chalet enjoy Mooseheads lakeside, walk
    across the dead end dirt road to our private
    association beach, or jump into your boat for a
    day on the lake. There are many islands to
    explore. Just one visit and youll understand why
    so many people make this their vacation
    destination for a lifetime.

  • The Chalet sleeps 7-9
  • Downstairs bedroom has a full bed. The loft
    sleeps 4 with a full bed with a single above and
    one twin bed. The loft has a color TV with built
    in VCR. Living Ro0m 16 x 15 has single sleeper
    couch. A full/queen sleeper couch to be
    added.
  • Spacious living room with cathedral ceiling,
    Fieldstone fireplace with stained pine throughout
    the cabin. Phone, CD player, Cassette with
    radios, color TV/VCR with Direct TV reception.
  • (1) Bath with shower. Towels and sheets NOT
    provided.
  • Galley Kitchen fully equipped includes new
    refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee maker,
    small crock pot, dishes, pots, pans silverware.
  • Dinette wood table with chairs-additional table
    chairs available.
  • Heat- Wood fireplace with propane furnace and
    well water.
  • Safety Items- Smoke and carbon-monoxide detector,
    and fire extinguisher.
  • Outside-Large backyard and storage shed.
    Considerable parking. Large screen house with
    concrete floor and ceiling fan.

THE RATES
  • 125. _at_ NIGHT (2 NIGHT MINIMUM)
  • WINTER JAN 1ST to APRIL 1st 700. _at_ WEEK
  • SPRING APRIL 2nd to JUNE 31st 675. _at_ WEEK
  • SUMMER JULY 1st to SEPT 4th 1100. _at_ WEEK
  • FALL SEPT 5th to DEC 5th 725. _at_ WEEK
  • A Maine 7 sales tax applies
  • 50 deposit required at time of booking. Balance
    due (3) three weeks prior to arrival.
  • Full refund less 40 fee for any cancellation
    made (3) weeks prior to arrival date.
  • 300.00 Security Deposit due (3) weeks prior to
    arrival required held during rental.
  • Security Deposit refunded if the chalet is left
    as neat or neater than it was found, and there
    are no damages or phone/satellite TV bills
    exceeding 5.00 (five dollars).
  • This Security Deposit will be held until the
    Chalet billing for phone direct TV services are
    verified.

RULES NOTICES
  • MANDATORY RECYCLING of cans, bottles, plastics,
    newspapers cardboard containers is now part of
    the Moosehead area ecology.
  • Bears are know to smell food for several miles.
    DO NOT FEED THE BEARS. Keep food indoors.
  • Trash pick ups are on Monday Thursday.
  • Fireplace ash MUST be removed in the metal
    covered can provided and ash deposited in the
    area marked for ash deposits.
  • Please OBSERVE Local
    Speed Limit Postings.
  • SORRY NO PETS AND NO INDOOR SMOKING
  • RESPECT THE NEIGHBORS THEIR PROPERTY MAYBE
    THEY WILL TELL YOU WHERE THE FISH ARE BITING.
