The three states of matter
  • Solid is a substance which keeps its size and
    shape.
  • Liquid is flowing freely like water, it maintains
    it size but not shape.
  • Gas is a fluid, suck as air, that has no fixed
    shape and tends to expand without limit.

Examples of each state of matter
An ice cube is an example of a solid.
Water is an example of a liquid.
Steam is an example of a gas.
