To Begin Go to the faculty Portal and access
your courses. Once there follow the steps on the
next series of slides.
If your courses are not showing, you will need to
click on the link as shown above.

Step 1 Faculty access to the ePortfolio utility
is provided via the ePortfolio link at the bottom
of your eCollege "Welcome" page

Step 2 Once logged in to the ePortfolio utility,
click on the My Evaluations link on the left hand
navigation pane in order to begin the process.
Select the Add Evaluation link at bottom of the
Evaluations screen.

Step 3 In the Add Evaluation screen assign a name
to the evaluation to be deployed. Next select
the Portfolio structure you will be evaluating
(please note that evaluations will be needed for
each structure you will be assessing). Within
the Scoring Guide Template select General
Outcomes from the dropdown list. From the
Published Scoring Guide list select (for example)
General Outcomes Oct 19 2007. Select the
academic term you are evaluating (this is an
optional field and not required. Once all the
information has been entered click OK to proceed.

Step 4 The next step is to click the Add Students
link in order to begin the process of selecting
the applicable students for which you will be
performing portfolio evaluations

Step 5 On the Add Students screen select the
Course radio button in order to begin filtering
the student list by course associations

Step 6 Once the applicable course has been
selected from the dropdown list use the right
scroll bar within the Foliotek Add Students
window to scroll to the bottom of the window.
Once at the bottom use the bottom scroll bar
within the Foliotek Add Students window to
scroll over and click the Find button.

Step 7 Once the applicable course has been
selected you will be given the option to select
individual students within the selected course or
all students in the course by clicking the
checkbox next to the Students selection. Once
complete click OK to proceed

Step 8 Under the Add Evaluation Set screen select
the radio button next to the I will complete all
units of the evaluation option and then click
Next

Step 9 Within the Portfolio Submission and
Publish section select the preferred option for
student portfolio submissions (automatically,
manual via a set deadline, or manually without a
deadline). The next step is to set preferences
on Student and personal e-mail notifications for
the assessment process. Once complete, click
Finish.

Select the last option to allow an any time
review.
Uncheck these boxes to prevent students from
getting confusing emails.

Step 10 Once student assets are to be evaluated,
you will click My Evaluations and then name of
the applicable evaluation you will begin the
student assessment process for. The next step is
to click the link of the student name you will be
assessing with the next screen requiring you to
select the Outcomes to be evaluated. As shown
below a copy of the students work that has been
aligned to the outcome will be listed at the
beginning of the page followed by the scoring
guide. Once complete Click OK to complete

Student Evaluations must be PUBLISHED in order
for students to see the evaluations.
  • Follow the instructions on the following three
    slides.
  • Two things to remember
  • This is to be done after the evaluations are
    completed
  • Should be done after ALL students evaluations
    completed as these step would need to be redone
    for any additional students

Step 11 Log onto ePortfolio. Click the link under
Faculty Member Tools titled My Evaluations
(circled in red). Move your mouse over the Name
and select Quick Publish in the box that
appears (also circled in red)

Step 12 This brings up all the students whose
work has been evaluated (those who have not
submitted work will not appear). Select all by
clicking on the box on the top left (circled in
red)

Step 13 Click the okay button at the bottom of
the page (circled in red)
