During this internship I learned how various
parts of the plant were ran efficiently and to
the maximum profit potential. Along with this
I also helped collect carcass data on cattle
that were in various programs such as Angus
America, Beef Works, and the Iowa Quality Beef
Program. I also performed various tasks such
scanning inedible offal and found some
solutions for trouble shooting problems. I also
toured a further processing plant and rode with
a cattle buyer to see what their jobs all
consisted of.
