  • a vehicles stopping time. This is the cause of

  • traffic accidents. Knowing the actual stopping
    distance of a car will greatly reduce the amounts
    of accidents on Texas roads and highways.

  • Theory A vehicles stopping distance is
    dependent on the vehicles velocity (speed) as
    well as the coefficient of friction of the road
    surface.

Method
  • The user inputs the cars velocity (speed) and
    the roads coefficient of friction.
  • The program outputs the stopping distance d of
    the car in a picture box.
