Baby on Board Car-seat Monitoring System

• GOAL
• To design an infant car-seat that warns parents
  with an alarm if they have left their children in
  the car.
• To minimize false alarms.

APPROACH

• Use multiple methods of detection to minimize
  false alarms
• Create multiple levels of alarms
• Add compatibility for sourcing or sinking inputs
  from car for compatibility with different car
  models
• Add protection from voltage spikes caused by
  starting the car or incorrect installation of the
  car battery
• Engineering PCB implementation using TI MSP430
  - coding microcontroller and creating circuitry
  to integrate sensors with correct input/output
  voltage levels
