GRADUATION RATES
  • 1st create cohort of students entering 9th grade
    in the fall term
  • Add transferring students
  • Divide number of graduating students in cohort
    by total number in cohort.
  • Minus students who transfer out of school system
    to attend school elsewhere, e.g. private school,
    home education, adult education program etc.

Absence Details
  • Broward County Public Schools have a 94 average
    daily attendance .
  • Therefore approximately 15,000 students are
    absent on a daily basis.
  • This translates to about the total student body
    of 5 large high schools.
  • Truancy remains an area of concern for the
    Broward County Schools.
