  • A work of art made up of ink on paper and
    existing in multiple examples
  • A design is created on one surface and then
    transferred to another
  • Impressions can be made multiple times

What is a MONOPRINT?
  • A monoprint / montype is a one-of-a-kind, unique
    work of art
  • No two prints are ever alike however they can be
    similar
  • printed paintings often called "the painterly
    print" because of the freedom of means inherent
    in the technique
