FIRST COST OF SUBSTRUCTURE
The building first cost would benefit form a slab
on grade system. The slab on grade system will
allow the building to be built in quickly. The
foundation system will be effective if no
settlement.

LIFE COST OF SUBSTRUCTURE
The life cost system would benefit from a pier
and bell foundation system. The system will be
designed to be poured at a depth of 18 ' in the
earth. The overall cost and effectiveness of
this design will allow the structure to be built
effectively.

LEAST FIRST COST OF SUPERSTRUCTURE
The building will be benefit from a steel frame
structural system. The steel frame will be built
with a fire retardant and corrosion resistant
spray attached to it. The outside shall be built
with a stucco finish. The walls will be composed
of steel studs with a fire retardant sheetroock.
The walls will include insulation and sound proof
material. The ceiling will consist of a lay in
tile with acoustical tile and insulation. The
roof will be a flat roof with tar and gravel
composition.

LIFE COST OF SUPERSTRUCTURE
The life cost building will benefit from an all
steel structure. The steel structure will have
little maintenance and a low operation cost over
the years. The walls will consist of steel
studs. The walls will consist of bat
installation, fire retarded sheetrock and an
acoustic sound barrier. The outside skin will
consist of a stucco finish.

We, the Design and Construction Consultants feel
we that we have met and fulfilled all of the
objectives set forth in the beginning of this
project. A lot of time and effort was given to
the International Services Building, so that it
could best facilitate the students and faculty.
Therefore, this will be a exciting new
addition to Texas AM University campus and will
be a symbol of diversity and international
presence.
