TEMO Way Ahead
  • v3.0
  • TEMO Assessment
  • Constructive Focus
  • v4.0
  • Virtual Focus
  • Replace CCTT SAF
  • Replace AVCATT SAF
  • v5.0
  • Constructive Focus
  • Requirements Process Ongoing
  • Target for TEMO Validation
  • Begin JLCCTC Integration
  • v6.0
  • JLCCTC Integration

3
TEMO Assessment of OneSAF v3.0
  • The National Simulation Center will conduct an
    Assessment of OneSAF v3.0
  • Functional Assessments are not defined in DA Pam
5-11. They are executed to provide feedback to
the material developer on the status of a given
    simulation
  • We will be operating a single OneSAF scenario
    with threads/vignettes running in different
    geographically separate maneuver areas
  • Focus of testing will be on evaluating ordered
behaviors. Multiple behaviors will be evaluated
in each thread test and vignette.
  • Training (13-17 Jul)
  • Technical Testing (throughout the event)
  • Thread Testing (week one, 20-24 Jul)
  • Vignette Testing (week two, 27-31 Jul)
  • Brigade Scenario (week three, 3-7 Aug)

4
Tests for the TEMO Assessment of OneSAF v3.0
  • Written by NSC Personnel
  • Reviewed by PM prior to testing
  • We only test functionality that the PM agrees is
    working
  • Example Thread Tests Functional groupings of
    Orderable Behaviors
  • Attack a Position, Casualty Handling, Fire
Support, Cross Rivers and Gaps, Assault/Clear a
    Building, etc.
  • Example Vignettes Platoon and Company size
    scenarios in a tactical setting
  • Air Assault, Combined Arms Breach, Logistics
  • Brigade Scenario
  • Offense, Defense, Cordon and Search
  • Same scenario as WARSIM ORE

5
Virtual Focus for OneSAF v4.0
  • TEMO requirements for v4.0 focused on integration
with SE Core in order to replace CCTT SAF and
    AVCATT SAF.
  • Provide required modeling/effects
  • Provide consistent shared view between
    Constructive Virtual - Common Environment
  • Replace CCTT and AVCATT SAFs
  • Provide a Fair Fight

6
OneSAF v5.0 is TEMO Target for Validation
  • Functional Validation is defined in DA Pam 5-11
as a rigorous and structured process of
determining the extent to which a simulation
accurately represents the intended real world
phenomena from the perspective of the intended
use (DA Pam 5-11, Para. 3-3).
  • TEMO intended use is to run a Brigade Warfighter
    Exercise
  • Test procedures will be similar to the v3.0
    Assessment
  • First step toward integration into JLCCTC
  • TEMO Refocus on Constructive Requirements
  • P3I process is ongoing

7
TEMO Prerequisite Threshold Requirements
  • Seven Threshold System-level Requirements
  • BCT WFX
  • Usability
  • Models Behaviors
  • After Action Review
  • User Documentation
  • Terrain
  • Ability to Federate w/Constructive and Virtual
    simulations/simulators

8
OneSAF v6.0 Integration into JLCCTC
  • Once OneSAF passes the TEMO Validation, focus
will be on integration into JLCCTC
  • Start integration with v5.0
  • Full integration with v6.0
  • Ground maneuver driver in ERF (Entity Resolution
    Federation)
  • Entity-level ground maneuver driver in MRF-W
    (Multi-Resolution Federation WARSIM)
