Title: Thought Power

1
Thought Power
2
THE POTENTIAL OF THOUGHTS
In spite of being invisible, the potential of
thoughts is greater than any other power of the
physical world. Every moment of human life is
intensely interwoven with thoughts.
3
The existence of AURA around head has been
scientifically proved by various imaging
technologies like Kirilian photography.
4
The key of the ascent or devolution of ones
life lies in his/her thoughts.
5
Indication of Colour of Aura
The Dense clusters of the cruel and untoward
thoughts pertaining to lust, hatred, ego,
jealous, revenge, etc. emit dirty black aura
6
People with greater inner strength and elevated
level of Prana can attract and influence many
others by the enthralling force of their
thoughts. History has witnessed how great
personalities shaped the destiny of masses by
the shear power of their thoughts.
7
Indication of Colour of Aura
Aura of fear and anxiety posses brown shadows.
The colour of aura reflected by thought waves
of pure love and affection is recorded to be
bright red whereas that of sexually charged love
and attraction is brownish red
8
Indication of Colour of Aura
The thought waves driven by self esteem and
ambitious constitute bright orange. Thought
waves emerging from spiritual illumination
reflect brilliant light blue colour in the aura.
9
Our Rishis described that the body of person
emits an aura as per the intrinsic level of the
TRIGUNAS (the basic tendencies of sat, raj and
tama indwelling in the Nature.)
10
IMPORTANCE OF THOUGHT POWER
We often neglect the importance of thoughts in
shaping our personality and our Karma. In fact
before any action the thought of doing it
initially takes shape in the form of thought.
11
  • THREE STEPS FOR DEVELOPMENT OF THOUGHT POWER
  • Thought Awareness
  • Positive Thinking
  • Swadhyay

12
1) THOUGHT AWARENESS Thought awareness is the
process by which one observes ones thoughts for
some time and become aware of what is going
through in mind. It is best not to suppress any
thoughts.
13
Thought awareness is the first step in the
process of eliminating negative thoughts
REMEMBER you cannot counter thoughts
14
1) THOUGHT AWARENESS
1. Just observe your thougths 2. Watch for
negative thoughts while you observe your
'stream of consciousness'. 3. Normally these
appear and disappear being barely noticed.
15
1) THOUGHT AWARENESS
Make a note of the thought, and then let the
stream of consciousness run on.
16
Examples of common negative thoughts are
Worries about how you appear to other people
Consequences of poor performance Self
criticism Feelings of inadequacy
17
Negative thinking
Negative thinking causes stress because it
damages your confidence that you are equal to
the task you face.
18
Negative thinking
You are thinking negatively when you put
yourself down, criticize yourself for errors,
doubt your abilities, expect failure, etc.
It is the negative side of suggestion it
damages confidence, harms performance and
paralyses mental skills.
19
2) POSITIVE THINKING Once you are aware of
your negative thoughts, write them down and
review them rationally. See whether the
thoughts have any basis in reality.
20
2) POSITIVE THINKING Often you find that
when you properly challenge negative thoughts
they are obviously wrong. Often they persist
only because they escape notice.
21
Positive Affirmations
You may find it useful to counter negative
thoughts with positive affirmations. You can
use affirmations to build confidence and change
negative behavior patterns into positive ones.
22
Positive Affirmations
You can base affirmations on clear, rational
assessments of fact, and use them to undo the
damage that negative thinking may have done to
your self-confidence.
23
  • Examples of affirmations are
  • I can do this.
  • I can achieve my goals.
  • I am completely myself and people will like me
    for myself.
  • I am completely in control of my life.
  • I learn from my mistakes. They increase the basis
of experience on which I can draw.
  • I am a good valued person in my own right.

24
3) SWADHYAYA Traditionally people have
advocated positive thinking almost recklessly, as
if it is a solution to everything. No amount of
positive thinking can make everyone who applies
it an Olympic champion marathon runner.
25
3) SWADHYAYA To integrate higher and nobler
thoughts with your personality you need to do
Swadhyaya.
26
Swadhyay means Self education in the light of
the inspiring thoughts of great personalities
and natural conditioning of the mind in
the company of morally elevated people
27
The guidance of Guru
Guru means one who dispels the inner darkness or
ignorance of real self. Through the help of
Guru grace, one starts experiencing the divinity
of inner being and the initiation into Sadhana
associates one with the subtle power of divine
cosmic thoughts.
28
The guidance of Guru
The uniqueness of Indian Culture lies in its
elaborated yogic practices for development of
thoughts and eventually faith and belief in
inherent divinity of inner being.
29
JAP and DHYAN
30
Thus Thought awareness, positive thinking and
Swadhyay are three closely connected
tools, which help you to eliminate thought
patterns that damage your self-confidence and
cause you stress and initiate you in realization
of power of divine thoughts.
