What is eSheets?

• eSheets is an automated reporting process for
  time record submissions for both hourly
  (non-exempt) and salaried (exempt) employees
• eSheets interfaces directly with the payroll
  system which eliminates the manual handling and
  data entry of time sheets
• eSheets is accessed through TidesNet

When are eSheets due?

• Non-Exempt employees are required to submit an
  eSheet once each pay period according to the
  Tides Payroll Deadline Calendar (see handout
  also on Tidesnet)
• Exempt employees are required to submit an eSheet
  for any pay period in which one or more full days
  of exception hours are used
• exception hours include vacation, sick
  leave, jury duty,etc.), see Employee Handbook
  for complete list

How does eSheets work?

• Employees enter time worked and/or days of
  absences we call these Submitters this can be
  done daily or once per pay period
• On the due date for time submissions, Submitters
  submit their eSheet to their Approver usually a
  supervisor or project director
• Approvers are responsible for reviewing the
  eSheet for accuracy and submitting it to payroll
  for processing
