Title: Conversion of St' Paul

1
Conversion of St. Paul
  • Ordinary Time (B)

2
  • Now I want you to know, brothers, that the gospel
preached by me is not of human origin. For I did
not receive it from a human being, nor was I
taught it, but it came through a revelation of
    Jesus Christ. Galatians 111-12

Conversion
  • Conversion is the heart of the Christian
experience. Conversion is best described in the
New Testament in the Letters of St. Paul, and
with good reason - no one experienced a more
dramatic conversion than St. Paul on the road to
    Damascus!

4
  • St. Pauls conversion, like ours, is an
experience of faith and Gods grace.
  • It is a life changing experience with the purpose
of being a witness to the Gospel!

5
  • Do you not realize that the kindness of God is
meant to lead you to repentance? Romans 24
  • The experience of conversion is a close
encounter with God and a road to a deeper
relationship with Him which others may not
    understand.

6
That is why St. Paul rightly says
We are fools on Christ's account we are weak we
are held in disrepute. To this very hour we go
hungry and thirsty, we are poorly clad and
roughly treated, we wander about homeless and we
toil, working with our own hands. When ridiculed,
we bless when persecuted, we endure when
slandered, we respond gently. We have become like
the world's rubbish, the scum of all, to this
very moment.

7
  • The conversion of St. Paul led him to be the
    greatest missionary of all times!
  • Preached to more than 20 cities of the ancient
    world.
  • Imprisoned 2 times
  • Shipwrecked 3 times
  • Received 39 lashes 5 times
  • Beaten with rods 3 times
  • Stoned at least once.

8
  • His conversion led him to be a FOOL for Christs
    sake!
