Objectives for the "tangible product"

• Subject Energy saving, energy efficiency and
  sustainable energy use
• Target group Children in the age of 6 - 10
• Aim - Showing children how they and their
  families can save energy in daily life -
  Presenting energy saving not as a tiresome
  duty but as an exciting and interesting challenge

• Families covering 4 different life-styles or ways

  "High-Techs"- Family "Energy Savers"- Family
  "Renewables"
• Each family and their life-style is presented
  with 5 cards
• Situations in connection with energy saving
  (positive and negative examples)

The 4 families

• Family "Wasteful"- Wastes lots of energy and
  drinking water because of thoughtlessness,
  ignorance or laziness
• Family "High-Techs"- A lot of most recent
  electronic devices ? high energy
  consumption- But Modern appliances have a high
  energy-efficiency
• Family "Energy Savers"- Saves energy to protect
  environment and to save money
• Family "Renewables"- Dedicated to environment
  and climate protection- Substitute fossil energy
  by renewable energy sources

• The radiator is on and the window is tilted
• The radiator is partly covered by the curtain
• The TV-Set is in stand-by mode
• The screen saver is activated
• Rubbish-bin no waste separation and recycling
