My Project
The main goal for this project is to remotely
visualize high resolution astronomical images on
UC San Diegos tile display wall while
controlling at CNIC.

Progress Update

• Had an phone interview with Dan Wang (an
  astronomer at the national observatory)
• Wrote a paper on the nature and background of the
  FITS (Flexible Image Transport System) format
• Researched on astronomical coordinates and
  parameters
• Wrote 2 papers summarizing astronomy and
  astronomical coordinates
• Displayed images on tiled display wall at CNIC
  using Imageviewer
• Obtained more FITS images
• Converted FITS images into JPG format using
  ImageMagick
• Had a further discussion with Dan Wang regarding
  astronomical images

• VTC with Jurgen
• Put more images on tiled display wall
• Figure out a way to have remote visualization
• Connect to UCSD tiled display wall and display
  images
