Intro to the UCSF CLE
  • The UCSF Library and Center for Knowledge
Management is pleased to announce the new UCSF
    Collaborative Learning Environment (CLE).
  • The CLE will replace the WebCT system that has
been in use at UCSF since 2000. The new
Collaborative Learning Environment is a modern,
more flexible system that can meet current and
    future needs for learner-centered environments,
    collaborative learning, and other collaborative
    activities.
  • The selected platform -- Moodle -- is a leading
open source environment that provides the
flexibility for customization to meet the diverse
and changing needs of the schools and the
university. In the future, the CLE will support
exciting new tools, such as electronic portfolios
    and learning object repositories.
  • The CLE's flexible architecture will allow us to
offer it as a tool for non-course activities such
as collaborative projects, committee work and
    research activities.
  • Visit UCSF CLE Information to learn more about
new features, training opportunities, and WebCT
    migration.
