Notes
  • Students are not permitted to choose two options
    with the same module prefix.
  • Optional courses are not formal prerequisites for
    Final Year Streams but are strongly recommended.
  • Students wishing to apply for the Master of
    Accounting Programme must take Business Finance I
    and Financial Accounting I.
  • Choose with a view towards Final Year
    Streams.

  • International Degree
  • Pass 60 ECTS in Second Year (55 Obligatory
    5 Optional)
  • Pass Mark
  • 40 to obtain Course Credit
  • But Allowed to Pass up to 10 ECTS at 35
    (Compensatable)
  • More than 10 ECTS Compensatable?
  • Choose which module to repeat for a pass, to
    reduce Compensatables to 10.

B. Comm. Degree Marks and Standards
  • Years Work
  • Must obtain 35 or more in the written
    examination before marks for Years Work may be
    added to determine the overall mark in the
    subject.
  • Overall Average for Second Year
  • Three -Year Degree (60 ECTS)
  • 50 Obligatory ECTS Plus 10 ECTS of Options
  • International Degree (60 ECTS)
  • 55 Obligatory ECTS Plus 5 ECTS of Options
  • Degree Average
  • 50 of the Second Year aggregate marks
  • 50 of the Final Year aggregate marks.

  • Degree Average Grade in B. Comm. Degree
  • 70 First Class Honours (H1)
  • 60 Second Class Honours Grade 1 (H2.1)
  • 50 Second Class Honours Grade 2 (H2.2)

Second Year Repeat Examinations
Medical etc. circumstances should be notified to
the School Office Medical certificates should
be supplied when seeking permission to defer an
examination.

Final Year Commerce Subject Stream Requirements
  • Three Year Degree
  • Required Total Credits 60 ECTS Credits derived
    as follows
  • 15 Obligatory Units 25 ECTS From One Stream
    20 ECTS selected from the additional modules
    listed within the same stream or from the list of
    electives.
  • International Degree
  • Required Credits 60 ECTS Credits derived as
    follows
  • 15 Obligatory (Commerce) 20 Obligatory
    (Language) 25 additional optional credits
    from the list of electives or from a single
    subject stream.
