Meet Our Incoming Group Study Exchange TeamFrom

Team Leader Simone Araujo Simone is a member of
the Rotary Club of Sete Lagoas Boa Vista, and
is the immediate Past President (07-08). Simone
is a law school graduate (1994), and is a
practitioner-owner of Neurolinguistics. With
that training, she is the owner/manager of a
foreign language school, Wizard Sete Lagoas,
part of a 1,300 branch franchise. Simone would
very much like to visit other language schools,
any organizations comparable to the Lighthouse
Project, and any schools that specialize in
students that are lagging behind.
Bruno Lanna Bruno is a graduate civil engineer,
with additional training in information systems
and project management. Hes now working for
Accenture, and is currently on a project for the
largest Brazilian telecom company.

Paula Soares Correa Paula is a student of
journalism and communications and an English
language tutor (including cultural, social,
economic and political background of the U.S. in
her teaching). She is the marketing manager for
a Honda franchise and directs her attention to
the general public as well as employees.
Danubia Lopes Danubia is with the Brazilian
Military Police and is very involved with PROERD
(Programa Educacioanal de Resistencia as Drogas),
modeled after the DARE program begun in Los
Angeles, California. She is interested in
programs that combat drug abuse through education.

Leonardo Vale Leonardo is a Production/Industrial
Engineer with ArcelorMittal (the worlds largest
steel company). His work involves quality,
logistics and production improvement. He is also
teaching a college course in Operational
Research. Leonardo is very interested in the
higher education system of California (state and
private colleges and universities) as well as our
technology companies and the film industry.
Vanessa Karam Vanessa is a graduate architect and
designer and owns her own firm. She involves
herself totally in her projects. She likes to be
involved, as she puts it, from the empty lot to
the last knob installed. Vanessa would like to
visit architects as well as schools of design and
see projects that serve the communities.
