Fitzsimons Central Utility Plant Equipment
Expansion

• The Fitzsimons Central Utility Plant (CUP) was
  sized to serve the full campus build-out, but is
  being equipped just in time as new buildings
  are being constructed/occupied. This is the CUPs
  second expansion.
• This CUP Expansion Project 2 will
• Increase the CUPs chilled water production
  capacity from 6,400 tons to 15,200 tons
• Accommodate buildings being opened through 2007,
  to include The Childrens Hospital, UH AIP Tower
  Fit Out and Base Expansion, and the COP Projects.
  
• UCDHSC proposes to amend the Lease Development
  and Operating Agreement with Sempra Energy
  Colorado (SEC) to design, construct, and start
  up/commission this project.
• This project will be financed by SEC and repaid
  from user utility rates.
• The expected cost of the project is approximately
  10 11 M. Final Pricing is anticipated before
  the June 3, 2005, Board of Regents Meeting.
