ASA Consolidation Vision
  • A vision for the future structure of UCDHSCs
    Academic and Student Affairs organization is one
    that
  • maximizes its ability to support UCDHSCs
    multiple missions of learning, discovery,
    engagement, and clinical care,
  • has programmatic identity rather than geographic
    identity,
  • delivers university-wide programs by units that
    report to a single leader, usually at the
    associate vice chancellor level
  • operates as a part of a single seamless
    university sited in many places and
  • focuses on service delivery that maximizes
    accessibility and convenience for students and
    faculty across the universitys many locations.

  • Be centered on student and faculty success
  • Seek to do some good
  • Operate as a single academic and student affairs
    enterprise in all divisions no later than July 1,
    2008
  • Maintain or enhance the FTE within academic and
    student affairs, though responsibilities will
    change for some employees
