COMMUNITY ENERGY ACTION PROGRAMMEFor projects
with a community focus/benefit, The Community
Energy Action Programme includes funding for

SCHEMEThe scheme provides grant funding to
support the installation of biomass-fuelled heat
boilers and biomass-fuelled combined heat and
power equipment, up to 40 per cent of project
costs (boiler, wood fuel store and associated
infrastructure/controls etc.) are eligible for
funding. Applicants must be based in England.
Deadline for applications by 30 April 2009.

LOW CARBON BUILDINGS PROGRAMME PHASE IPhase I
of LCBP provides grants to householders of up to
2,500 per property towards the cost of
installing a certified product by a certified
installer. From April 1st new applications are
being invited until June 2010 or until there are
no more funds available whichever is the sooner,
with the scheme to close in March 2011.
Information on the household phase of the LCBP is

915 0990. The DECC/BERRs low carbon buildings
grant will fund a number of technologies
includingSolar Photovoltaic/Wind
Turbines/Small Hydro/Solar thermal hot
water/Ground source heat pumps/Air source heat
pumps/Bio-energy/Renewable CHP/Micro CHP/Fuel
Cells/automated wood pellet stoves/wood-fuelled
boiler systems To be eligible to receive a low
carbon buildings grant a certified installer and
a certified product must be used.LOW CARBON
BUILDINGS PROGRAMME - PHASE II (LCBP-II)Grants
for the installation of micro-generation
technologies are available to public sector
buildings (including schools, hospitals, housing
associations and local authorities) and
charitable bodies. Grants of up to 50 per cent of
total project costs are available for the supply
and installation of any combination of the
technologies listed above. Up to 1 million of
funding is available for each project. The grant
must be used to fund the supply and installation
of a renewable energy scheme at a permanent
building. Public sector bodies, housing
associations and charitable bodies are eligible.
