V8000 VS. Ricoh TC-?

  • April 2004

High Quality Image
  • V8000
  • Imaging resolution is 600600dpi
  • Features a unique V printing configuration and
inner press system that delivers optimum print
quality for solid printing and fine letters.
  • TC-II
  • The imaging resolution will depend upon which
machine is used to image the master
  • Employs the Outer press system which is used for
    our regular models.

Master Making Printing
  • V8000 enables imaging and printing of two colors
    in a single pass
  • TC-? has no master making features and requires
an additional master making machine to image each
    cylinder

5
Single Process
  • V8000 single unit enables imaging and printing
of two colors in a single pass
  • TC-II requires two units, one to image the
masters and the TC-II to print. Cylinders must
be imaged, removed from the imaging unit and
reinstalled in the TC-II for printing.

Which is faster?
  • Example print 10,000 sheets (1000 sheets from 1
    master)
  • V8000 VS. TC-?
  • Approx.14 min.x10 times Approx.19 min.x10 times

IS IT WORTH IT?
  • Printing with the TC-? requires
  • Swapping the cylinders 20 times
  • Carrying the cylinders 20 times between machines
  • Setting the originals 20 times

Space Considerations
  • Since the RISO V8000 enables imaging and printing
of two colors in a single pass, all you need is a
    space to install one machine
  • With the TC-II, not only do you need the space to
install two machines, but also the space for
removing the cylinders from the master making
unit and installing them into the TC-II, plus
space to walk back and forth between the two
    machines

Summary
  • RISO V8000
  • Unique V configuration, inner press system and
paper clamp system for improved registration and
    crisp solids and fine lines
  • One machine for two-color, single pass printing
  • Significant savings in time and labor, delivering
    faster results
  • RICOH TC-II
  • Outer press technology and roller feed system
  • Two machines required, taking up more space
  • Imaging and swapping cylinders takes additional
time and significantly slows down the printing
    process
