Characteristics Of the Rainforest
The Climate in the Rainforest is 45-100 degrees.
The climate in the world would change if there
was no Rainforest. In the Rainforest, there are
some plants like fungus, bamboo, and allspice.
There are also lots of animals like monkeys,
toucans frogs and snakes.

Interesting Facts
Some people of the Rainforest, called the Pygmy
people, are only 4 feet, and 8 inches tall! A
quarter of all medicine found in drug stores owe
their orgins to rainforest plants and animals.
There are 4 layers of the rainforest the
emergent layer, the canopy layer, the understory,
and the forest floor.

In the rainforest, rainforest people need a house
built on stilts because of high risks of rain.
They are usually made out of bark, leaves and
grass. They have large windows to help them
breathe. Some rainforest people build their
houses at the edges of rivers which they use to
serve as highways.

6
CLOTHING
In the rainforest people use things from nature
like cotton from plants and small pieces of bark
for clothing. They also have to weave clothes
too. Some people wear cloth around their waist
and other people paint the top part of their
body. Children wear fancy cloth skirts.
7
Rainforest people usually travel by boat. They
build their houses at the side of rivers, so when
they want to go somewhere they get their boats
and paddle down the river. They also use large
trucks to cut trees or to help them move around.
Sometimes they walk when they go somewhere nearby.
8
Some jobs in the rainforest are these hunter,
gatherer, and a farmer. A hunter hunts on the
land for food. He then sells the food for money.
Some other people besides hunters, and farmers
and gatherers are people who study insects to
tell other people if they are dangerous or not.
Some people even dig mines and cut trees.
