  • NLC is the 5th and newest college of the Alamo
    Colleges
  • NLC is also a satellite campus for San Antonio
    College (SAC)
  • NLC is currently pursuing accreditation therefore
    NLC students cannot apply for any type of
    Financial Aid or VA Benefits

In combination of both schools there are at least
200 majors, including Technical Degrees and
Certificates.

During Fall 2009, over 5,000 students enrolled.
Average class size is 23.

MILITARY
  • The following documents must be provided if you
    are Military
  • Affiliated
  • Military Personnel (Active Duty)
  • Must provide Military I.D. Card (Must be verified
    once per academic year)
  • Military Spouse or Dependent
  • Military Verification Form and Military I.D. card
    (Must be submitted once per academic year)
  • IN-DISTRICT TUITION WAIVER FOR MILITARY PERSONNEL
    AND THEIR ELIGIBLE FAMILY MEMBERS WHO ARE
    ASSIGNED TO DUTY IN TEXAS

TRANSCRIPT REQUEST
  • OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS ARE NEEDED
  • (must be sealed to be official)
  • (FTIC) First-time In College students must
    provide a High School
  • Transcript or GED scores
  • OR
  • Transfer Students must provide previous college
    transcripts. We do not
  • need a high school transcript if student has
    college hours from an accredited
  • college or university.
  • Students may submit an unofficial transcript
    their first semester, but must
  • provide an official transcript prior to enrolling
    for the next semester.

TEXAS SUCCESS INITIATIVE EXEMPTIONS
  • Students may qualify for a TSI
  • exemption based on the following criteria
  • Meet the minimum TAKS score of 2200 Math, 2200
    English and 3 Essay (Note Test scores must not
    be more then 5yrs. old for TSI)
  • Have a bachelors degree or higher
  • TSI WAIVED if Enrolled in a Certificate Program
    of one year or less (level-one certificates).
    Placement testing is required.
