Introduction

• We are going on a trip, but we dont need to
  pack for this trip! We are going on a whale
• watching adventure over the Internet!
• Our class is going on a field trip to
  California to take a whale watching cruise!
  While there, we meet another first grade class
  from California. We want to show them how much
  we all know about whales and dolphin by
  correctly identifying all that we see before they
  do.

• You are going to see three pictures of three
  different types of whales and dolphins. Your
  task is to correctly identify each type.

Process
Before we go on our cruise you need to learn the
different ways that you can identify whales and
dolphins. Also, you need to learn about the
three different types of whales we will spot the
humpback whale, the blue whale, the orca whale.

Evaluation

• Now we are going on our whale watch!
• You are going to be shown three pictures of each
  type of whales. You are to identify each as
  either a humpback whale, an orca whale, or a blue
  whale.
• If you think the pictures are of a humpback you
  will put a finger on your ear.
• If you think the pictures are of an orca you
  will put a finger on your nose.
• If you think the pictures are of a blue you will
  put a finger on your head.
