General Statement

• White Lions are mammals. They belong to the big
  cat family. White Lions are endangered. There
  are less than 300 left.

Habitat
Lions are found in Angola, the southern parts of
the Congo Basin and Somalia, and South Africa.
Their habitat is grasslands and open woodlands
where there are belts of trees and bush near
rivers.

Appearance

• Male lions have manes. White Lions have white
  fur. They have small , black triangular noses.
  They even have pointy ears.

Diet

• Females hunt for food. White Lions work as a
  team when they are hunting. But just because
  females are the killers doesnt mean they get all
  of the food. Once the prey is caught the male
  comes to feast. Lions eat zebra, wilder beast,
  gazelle and other animals.

LIFE CYCLES

•   Female lions give birth to about 2 or 3 cubs.
  Young cubs have light spots which disappear as
  they grow. The cubs stay with their mother for at
  least two years. She feeds them milk and later
  meat. They begin hunting at 11 months.
