Philosophy Statement
  • I believe
  • -I have the drive and the talent to make my
    dreams come true.
  • - Be daring, be different, be impractical, be
anything that will assert integrity of purpose
and imaginative vision against the play-it
safers, the creatures of commonplace, the slave
    of the ordinary. Cecil Beaton
  • -One should be willing to try new things and
    take chances in life.
  • -Making mistakes allows for learning and
    growing.
  • -Fashion is not something that exists in
dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the
street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way
we live, what is happening. Coco Chanel
  • Career Goals
  • In the next 2-5 years
  • -I see myself holding a design position with a
    fashion forward designer or brand.
  • -Further develop my apparel construction skills
as they apply to my design position.
  • -Use my knowledge of design to create new and
innovative styles that will lead into the
    future.
  • -Work in a fast paced fashion forward work
    environment.

InternshipOcean Model Group
Ocean Model Group Internship I worked for Ocean
Model Group located in downtown Chicago in the
summer of 08. I had many tasks including finding
New Faces, keeping the website up to date, and
organizing large promotional events for the
agency.
7
Part of my internship requirement was to create a
fake modeling agency of my own where I could hand
pick the models of my choice and make comp cards
to showcase the models that were available. I
wanted to pick very high fashion models and make
my agency a more high scale agency then what was
in the area. Most of the models that I chose went
on to become Ocean Model Group Models.
8
Trend Forecasting
For this project I had to research what some of
the up and coming trends were such as color, mood
and silhouette. When looking at color, I
investigated many areas from style sites to
interior paint websites. I used many trend
forecasting websites to help support my vision
for what was going to be big for menswear Fall
2008.
9
Fashion Illustration
In the fashion illustration class we had to
create a line for a store that included trend
boards as well as fabric swatches of what we
would make our products from. I chose to create a
spring line for HM and did research on who their
target market was and then created a fun and
playful line that could be featured in their
Spring 07 collection.

Computer Aided Design
The designs that are shown here were created
through the use of Adobe Illustrator. This was
the final project in the first CAD class. I had
to come up with a collection to be sold at Sears,
for girls between the ages of 4-7 years. I wanted
to create something whimsical and fun that any
girl would love. I picked a color pallet and made
prints any girl would just have to have.
12
Advanced Computer Aided Design
First I was required to create a mens collection
that would catch your eye and would be loved by
any young fashionista. I first drew my tops and
bottoms in Illustrator and then scanned them in.
I then created prints and plaids to map onto my
drawings. From there I had to use Dreamweaver to
create a website that would show what the brands
focus would be and also sell the products I
created.

True Fashion Royalty Fall 08 Collection
The next three pages showcase the start of the
True Fashion Royalty brand. The collection was
designed for socialites willing to take a fashion
risk. The first page showcases the 16 looks that
were shown at the Threads Fashion Show. The other
pages are a selection of promotional pictures
that were taken to both promote my brand online
and in stores.
