ACE Mentor Program of Central Pennsylvania
With the goal of Suspension of Hunger students
with the Central Pennsylvania ACE Mentor Program
have constructed this bridge illustrating many of
the concepts they are learning about through the
program. The ACE Mentor Program provides them
with an insiders prospective on careers in
Architecture, Engineering and Construction. This
student-designed project demonstrates their
understanding of scale, aesthetics and structural
behavior, while providing much needed food to
area food banks.

A serving of ice cream is a popular treat usually
enjoyed by a single person. But through the help
of Canstruction and Project S.H.A.R.E this bowl
will be sure to benefit many more. Join us in
desserting hunger and dont forget the
butterscotch topping and cherries!

Flying High to Fight Hunger
American Society of Highway Engineers Harrisburg

The ASHE Harrisburg Section is Flying High to
Fight Hunger across Central PA! The team
designed and constructed this colorful hot air
balloon out of 1400 cans of the finest GIANT
brand Green Beans, Chunk Light Tuna, Solid White
Tuna, Condensed Tomato Soup, Chunk Pineapples and
Applesauce. All of the bold colored cans used in
this structure are on the list of items most
needed by our area food pantries, are very
nutritious and would make a filling meal.

Bart Simpson is a cartoon character, deplorable
yet adorable, and translates to kids and adults
alike the understanding of misfortune and
resilience. Reality is the number of families
that go without proper nutrition in our region.
Designed of nearly 2,000 cans of food bank
staples, our Bart has an attitude to convey the
need to assist those, especially children, who go
hungry.

Against Hunger in Central PA! We designed and
constructed this towering assemblage of 10
bowling pins and ball out of over 6,000 cans of
GIANT Brand Tomato Sauce, Cranberry Sauce and
Tuna. We spared no one on our approach to this
nutritious split with hunger in our Region.

First Capital Engineering, Inc. is celebrating
over 230 years of our countrys independence and
paying homage to two classic American meal time
staples, tuna fish and tomato soup. Our waving
flag has been constructed using blue tuna fish
cans and red and white tomato soup cans.

Kiss Hunger Goodbye!
The chocolate kiss is one of the most instantly
recognizable treats in the world. Weve created
this oversized version to convert that
recognition into an awareness of hunger in
Central Pennsylvania. While our kiss isnt made
of chocolate, its still very desirable the
tuna fish cans (roughly 3,500 of em) which weve
used to create this structure are consistently on
the most needed list of Project S.H.A.R.E. An
excellent source of protein and omega-3s, tuna
fish is an excellent building block for a healthy
diet (and it stacks pretty well, too). When
you leave today, remember this Happiness is
like a kissit feels best when you give it to
someone else. Share your happiness and kisses
with those who truly need them by supporting your
local food banks and pantries.

Ewe Can Help Stop Hunger Hunger is Baad!
Lancaster Country Day School Studio 5 Architects,
LLC
Our school would like to remind everyone that
ewe can help in the fight against hunger,
because no one deserves to go hungry. Our
Canstruction sculpture titled Ewe Can Help Stop
Hunger Hunger is Baad! depicts sheep lying on
a low hill, filled with lush green grass, and
sprinkled with bright flowers. The pasture is
outlined by a fence. Our sheep are grazing on and
surrounded by a nutritionally balanced diet of
vegetables, fruits, protein, and fiber. All these
healthy food choices help sheep and people grow
strong and healthy. Our sculpture incorporates
all the major food groups with an emphasis on
foods high in vitamins, minerals, and fiber.
Products were also evaluated for their salt,
sugar, and fat content and ranked in terms of
their nutritional healthfulness.

Bridge over CANdied Waters
Larson Design Group
This covered bridge is representative of the many
Pennsylvania bridges of days gone by. Care was
given to achieve label colors that would best
represent that of the typical covered bridge. Red
walls, green grass to the side, flowing water
below, open roof trusses, and dry-stack stone
arches and abutments all achieve the goal of
conjuring images of the bridges in rural
Pennsylvania.

Republicans and Democrats meet, Built over 100
years ago for 13 million Adorned with marble,
and gold leaf. We had a revelation An idea we
couldnt refuse, Well raise money to build our
own capitol Made from food items hungry people
can use. With a rotunda made out of canned
tuna And veggies and beans to make all the
walls, It is our truest hope and our promise To
end this problem called hunger for all.
