SAN DIEGO COUNTY CONDUCTS LARGEST FIRE EVACUATION
IN U.S. HISTORY

• The San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG)
  has calculated that 515,000 county residents
  received a voluntary or mandatory evacuation
  notice during last weeks fires, making it the
  largest fire evacuation operation in the nations
  history.

The Way Ahead

• The breadth and depth of tangible and intangible
  Marine Corps equities will continue to grow
  exponentially in the Western Region
• By coordinating across regional geopolitical
  boundaries, USMC commands, sister services, HQ
  and OSD staffs, and by engaging the executive and
  legislative leadership, governmental agencies,
  non-governmental organizations, and public
  leadership, a Regional Team has the potential
  to leverage resources disproportionate to the
  investment
