Purpose of Journey- The Planned Exploration

• Dias wonted to sail to the
• southern end of Africa.
• King John II of Portugal sent him to Asia for
  spices.

Journey- The Trip

• The Journey started in Portugal.
• When Dias was sailing he got caught in a storm
  and got blown around the southern tip of Africa.
  After the storm he sailed the southeastern shore.
  They where running low on food so they went back
  to Portugal.

• He got around the southern tip of Africa. Then
  they started to go low on food. He helped them by
  sailing from Portugal and finding that it is
  posibel togo to Asia that way.

• Bartolomeu Dias was a brave explorer. He sailed
  to the southern tip of Africa from Portugal. On
  his trip he got caught in a storm and he got
  blown around the southern tip of Africa. Dias was
  running low on food so he went back to Portugal.
  He made it back in December 1488.Dias died during
  a voyage from Brazil when a storm sunk his ship.
