Our Journals are High Impact

• 2005 JCR (Science and Social Science Citation
  Indexes)
• Contained 7,526 unique titles from approximately
  1,700 publishers. These journals published
  approximately 900,000 articles. Collectively,
  these articles cited approximately 23.3 million
  items.
• Blackwell published 6.8 of the journals listed,
  ranking it 3rd, behind Elsevier and Springer.
  This increase was the highest in terms of
  absolute numbers of the major commercial and the
  not-for-profit publishers.
• Blackwell published 5.8 of the articles listed,
  ranking it 3rd, behind Elsevier and Springer.
  This increase was the highest in terms of
  absolute numbers of the major commercial and
  not-for-profit publishers.
• Blackwell received 5.4 of the total number of
  citations recorded, ranking it 2nd, behind
  Elsevier. This increase was 2nd only to Elsevier
  in terms of absolute numbers of the major
  commercial and not-for-profit publishers.
• Of the 515 Blackwell titles which were listed by
  ISI in JCR 2005, 333 exhibited a positive change,
  169 exhibited a negative change, and 13 titles
  were newly listed in 2005.
• Blackwell journals are ranked first by Impact
  Factor in 22 subject areas (from 19 unique
  titles).
• Blackwell publishes the largest share of articles
  in 26 subject areas and received the largest
  share of citations in 20 subject areas. In 16
  subject areas Blackwell published the largest
  share of articles, and received the largest share
  of citations.
