ALL SCOUTS ARRIVE AT 2 PM
  • Medical and medication forms must be returned to
    Joe Facchini in June 2008
  • Each Scout is responsible for their own
    transportation to and from camp, car pooling if
    possible
  • Scouts should arrive in CLASS A UNIFORMS
  • Class A Shirt, pants, neckerchief

Checking In / Out
  • Our troop can not check in until all Scouts are
    present
  • All prescription medication must be given to camp
    Medical Officer during check in
  • Pick up is 9 AM on Saturday July 19, 2008
  • Pack a bathing suit and towel on top of
    footlocker

Tents and Knives
  • All Scouts will be sleeping in tents provided by
    OSR
  • Please do not spray anything in or on the tents
  • All Scouts who are bringing a pocket knife must
    also carry their Totin Chip.
  • If you do not have a Totin Chip keep your pocket
    knife in your footlocker (blades should not
    exceed 4 inches).
  • Scouts will have an opportunity to earn a Totin
    Chip

What to Wear
  • During the day Scouts should wear their Class B
    uniform or similar appropriate attire
  • Scout pants/shorts Scout Tee Shirt
  • CLASS A UNIFORMS MUST BE WORN TO DINNER
  • Shirt, pants, neckerchief

Advancement
  • All first year Scouts will participate in the
    first year program
  • Swimming Merit Badge and 2 more, Totin Chip,
    Cooking, Camping, Outdoor Skills
  • Scouts working on Merit Badges should pay special
    attention to pre-requisites complete them
    before coming to camp.
  • See Joe Facchini for a list of pre-requisites
  • Full curriculum available after May 5th.

More rules
  • ALL SCOUTS ARE REQUIRED TO SHOWER AT LEAST EVERY
    OTHER DAY. BRUSH ONLY THE TEETH YOU WANT TO KEEP
  • No food allowed in TENTS.
  • Ask Steven Dennis about the skunks
  • Dont even ask about the bears !!
  • Not Permitted Radios, Ipods, Walkmans, Game
    boys, DVD players, etc.
  • OK List books, musical instruments, etc.

Parents/Adults
  • Adult Assistance Needed
  • Two adults are need at all times
  • (2-Deep Leadership)
  • Three adults are helpful
  • Functions include assistance with merit badge
    work, interface with camp personnel, supervision,
    and recreation
  • Not Required to Stay the Entire Week
  • Parents can overlap

  • Flashlight with extra batteries
  • Battery-powered lantern
  • Day pack
  • Shower swimming towel
  • Non-aerosol bug spray, sun screen
  • Money for trading post
  • Personal first aid kit
  • Laundry bag
  • Swim Suit
  • Boy Scout Hat
  • Zip Lock Bag
  • Disposable camera
  • Writing pad pen pencil
  • Canteen mess kit and drinking cup
  • Mosquito netting, shower curtain or tarp 10 x 10
  • Personal toiletries
  • Clothes line
  • Camp chair
  • Good humor, high spirits
  • Geritol for the Scoutmasters

One last thing
  • All boys and adults attending Summer Camp MUST
    conduct themselves in a manner becoming of a BOY
    SCOUT, and a member of Troop 17.
  • Parents are not permitted unscheduled visits to
    camp during the week.
  • Parents who want to visit camp must provide a
    CLASS 3 Medical Form and register with Joe
    Facchini by June 6 2008
