DAY SECTION
  • Students are accepted to the Day Section of the
    Nursing Program twice a year .30 36 students
    enter in the Fall and Spring semesters. Schedule
    varies-some E/W hours are possible in the Day
    Section.

EVENING/WEEKEND SECTION
  • The Evening/Weekend Section of the program is
    always contingent on faculty, funding and
    facility availability. We hope to accept a cohort
    of 20 students once a year (fall semester).
    Students must be flexible. Schedules vary and
    classes may be day or evening. Full time!

  • High School Graduation, Equivalency (GED) or
    higher degree

    higher math (college level)
  • Math 56, 60 or higher
  • COMPASS test score

  • A cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher in the science
    prerequisite courses

  • Valid California LVN License
  • Nursing 110
  • Note If you did not graduate from an accredited
    LVN program and desire the degree.See me for
    information regarding credit by exam

APPLICATIONS
  • Applications are accepted twice a year.
  • September 1st-November 1st
  • February 1st April 1st
  • Apply when working on last prerequisite(s)

APPLICATION PROCESS
  • Complete Application Packet
  • Application
  • Proof of high school graduation or higher degree
  • Transcripts supporting prerequisites from all
    colleges except Palomar (unofficial are fine!)
  • Completion of all prerequisites or work in
    progress form for coursework being taken during
    semester application is submitted.

  • All eligible applicants are placed in 2 groups A
    and B
  • A all prerequisites are done.
  • B prerequisite(s) is in progress

TEAS EXAM
  • This is a diagnostic test that covers Math,
    English, Reading Science.
  • All incoming students will be required to pass
    this exam with a cumulative score of 67.
  • The TEAS exam can be repeated once if necessary
    after remediation.
  • Requirement must be met by May for Fall admission
    by November for Spring admission.
