Problem statement
  • Blind spot related collisions are a significant
problem that contribute to a numerous injuries
    and damages.

8
How does it work?
  • Cameras that are mounted on each of the side view
mirrors are positioned to record blind spots.
  • When about to change lanes, the driver activates
the system which displays a heads-up display of
the lane next to him or her.

9
Market/Customer
  • BSI technology would appeal to car manufacturers
    as a high tech addition.
  • The trucking industry might also benefit from the
BSl due to trucks wide blind spot.
  • Other add-ons such as backup cameras show that
car manufacturers are willing to include more
