Caxias

About Caxias... I live in Caxias. A small
village, full of nice people near Paço
dArcos. There, we can find a good supermarket,
some cafes, a restaurant, three schools, a train
station, a pharmacy and a church.
Caxias has also got a huge garden called Jardim
da Cascata. There, we can do lots of things like
reading, listening to music, etc...

I used to go to Baía dos Golfinhos. Its an
Italian bar/restaurant near the Marginal and near
Forte de São Bruno. We can have some pizzas and
some hot chocolate there. I went there with some
friends, but school has already started and I
cant go out anymore.

People in Caxias are very kind. We can trust them
and if we need something they are always there
for us. I think its a well- organized village.
Sometimes we have some meetings and some parties
with loads of food and those stuff. I like living
in Caxias!

For me the most enjoyable activity is when people
organize some country festivals. Normally, they
are made near Caxias train station, because there
is in fact a big space to put the stage and some
other things. Usually this party starts at
6.00 pm and finishes at 1.00 am. It takes 3 days
and its always in the same place. People can eat
there because they make like some mini
restaurants and the food is quite good. We can
also have some wine and juices etc..

Normally, we can see young people acting there,
singing and doing capoeira which is a typical
Brazilian dance. We can also see groups of people
dancing hip- hop, ballads, everything. You can
always have fun with your friends, and if you
have prepared something like a song, you just
have to go up to the stage and sing. As Caxias
its a small village, almost everybody knows each
other, so its quite good to be in a place with
your friends and with people you have already
seen. On the other hand, people really have to be
aware because there are some kids who rob and
those stuff.

I have never been there for a long time like
from 6.00 pm to 1.00 am but I would like to have
that experience, although I think that at 1.00 am
all of my friends have gone away. And that would
become a bit boring and frustrating. I forgot to
mention that normally this happens in June. I
also think people like it because we can find
there lots of old and young people, and you can
see that they are having fun. Its not like a big
party in Casino do Estoril or something like
that, but people like it, anyway!
