TEACHER RESPONSIBILITIES
Believe that all students can be successful.
School is a place to gain knowledge. This is
achievable if a teacher has a well-managed
classroom, has a predictable environment, and
makes learning fun! An effective teacher clearly
communicates expectations for student success and
plans lessons based on AZ Standards.
8
STUDENT RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Have materials at school when expected.
  • Ask for help when confused.
  • Complete homework.
  • Be at school every day unless ill or has a family
    emergency.
  • Will copy the assignment board daily and share at
    home.

9
FAMILY VACATIONS DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR
  • Lessons are often teacher-directed that
    involve discussions, presentations, group
activities, and experiments that cannot be
    completed upon return to school.
  • Good teaching requires monitoring and
    adjusting lessons with re-teaching and/or
enriching that cannot be made up.
  • School policy Teachers will save work at
their own discretion, parents will have to tutor
their child at home, and fewer grades will be
averaged for the grading period. Often this puts
a student at a severe disadvantage for special
    awards (Honor Roll), etc.

10

  • No Child Left Behind legislature is
