- APMC Act already partially amended in 2003 2004
- New APMC Bill introduced in the Assembly Session

- Likely to be passed in the coming winter session
- Pending passage, assistance to states for market

marketing/ contract farming / private markets.

- Support for strengthening of quality control
infrastructure needed

- GOI initiative to bring in Private Players to be
intensified
