• Improving Individual and Societal Well-being
  through Animal Assisted Interventions in
  Healthcare and Education

Some Objectives

• Economics of animal-assisted interventions
• Outcome assessment and methodologies
• Implementation and integration
• A well-functioning, European multidisciplinary
  scientific network of HAB/AAI researchers and
  practitioners interested in outcome evaluation,
  who are willing to work to advance the field of
  AAI to benefit individuals and society.
• An international research agenda on AAIs, which
  takes into account already validated scientific
  findings and prioritizes areas needing further
  research, and which will be proposed to EU
  institutions and national research councils.
• The Development and agreement to definitions,
  standards, best (safe) practice, and codes of
  ethics in the AAI field.
• Establishing by critically reviewing past
  research on social inclusion which subsets of
  the general public can already be aided by AAIs,
  and generate new research hypotheses concerning
  other subsets of that public.
• Encourage young Masters and PhD students to enter
  this field of research
