1. Once an employee submits a request in neo,
such as leave or Qualifications, an email is sent
to their supervisor for approval. The employee
has a record of the workflow in their
notifications listing in neo employee self
service.

2. Manager receives the email notification Note
that the sent name always appears as Neo
Workflow Mailer. If you use UTS webmail you will
need to log into neo and go to your notifications
listing to approve these requests.

3. Approve or Reject the email notification. This
is not available to users of UTS Webmail.

Approve/Reject the request. Note these links are
inactive if you use UTS Webmail.

4. Click on the send button to approve or reject
the request, this will update neo and generate a
notification to the employee of your action. Text
will automatically appear in the body of the
email, do not remove or alter this text.
Click Send on the email.
The text will appear automatically. Do not enter
in any additional comments.

5. The employee will be sent a notification of
the managers approval or rejection.

Approving/Rejecting notifications using UTS
Webmail

If you receive a lot of requests or use UTS
webmail, it is recommended that you log into neo
weekly (as a minimum) to approve/reject requests
easily by logging into notifications.
1. After logging into neo select UTS Manager Self
Service from the menu
2. Then select Notifications.

All notifications will appear with the most
recent notifications at the top of the list.
3. You can view and approve/reject a request by
double clicking on the subject.
