• Owners add voluntary content to a personalized
  web site via a powerful web-based content
  management tool
• Wizards/Datatypes help users supply pertinent
  content and goal-oriented section templates, such
  as Classes, Employment History, Activities,
  etc.
• Additional web site features such as online
  forms, surveys, news events, etc. allowing
  owners to create truly interactive sites.
• 39,000 active eFolios in Minnesota alone!

  culminating in a fully-populated eFolio

  competencies that, when completed, are presented
  on the matching eFolio

1. Interview-style creation of eFolio

• Like TurboTax
• Using TurboTax.com as a model, Avenet has
  creating a step-driven, simplified process for
  building customized interviews for users to
  create their eFolios
• Interview Paths
• MnSCU and Avenet staff will be able to create a
  specific path, with specific prompts and
  content to meet the specific needs as determined
  by the organization

2. Questionnaires

• Competency / Questionnaire Builder
• MnSCU and Avenet staff will use a web-based
  Questionnaire Builder to build and deliver
  questionnaires based on the specific competencies
  needed by the organization
• Repositories
• This project will allow virtually endless numbers
  of online questionnaires surveys and forms
  built using finite, unambiguous questions
  answers (numeric responses, true/false, multiple
  choice, etc)

3. Centralized searching

• MnSCU, DEED and perhaps others will be able to
  use an online search portal
• Searches may target fixed responses to
  questionnaires, as well as the entire collection
  of free form responses from owners eFolio
  sites
• For example, how many students have completed the
  applies technology to the classroom competency?
• In the future, others could be permitted to use
  the search capability based on MnSCU decisions

4. LinkBuilder elements on questionnaires

• To encourage eFolio project participants to use
  both free-form eFolio content and fixed
  Questionnaire responses, Avenet has built a
  LinkBuilder element
• LinkBuilders can be added to any questionnaire,
  providing an easy, pull-down menu of the eFolio
  content (sections and items)
