Students we serve
  • All new undergraduate students
  • Continuing students who
  • Are on academic probation
  • Are undecided on a major
  • Have not yet met the criteria to be seen by their
    specific department
  • With the exception of Performing Arts and
    Hospitality Management

STEP 1Roosevelt University Assessment
  • A student is directed by an Admissions counselor
    to take the RUA
  • Students must complete the RUA prior to meeting
    with an advisor
  • The RUA is used to assess students in both math
    and English

STEP 2Advising
  • Advising is mandatory
  • Review all degree requirements
  • Prepares schedule for the upcoming term
  • The advisor insures financial aid concerns are
    addressed and informs the students of the
    registration process

STEP 3Orientation
  • All new students are encouraged to attend a SOAR
    Orientation program
  • SOARs are held in the evenings to accommodate
    transfer students and during the day for freshmen
    students
  • Advising along with Student Activities and
    Residence Life coordinates all Orientation
    programs
